ABOUT DOBERMAN

The Doberman Pinscher, known as the Doberman in the United States and Canada, owes his existence to Herr Karl Friedrich Louis Dobermann. He was a tax collector and dogcatcher from Germany. Herr Dobermann wanted to guard dogs that would protect him against robbers whilst he did his rounds. With his dogcatching experience, Herr Dobermann decided to breed dogs to develop the perfect companion and protector. He wanted a courageous and intelligent dog with a good nose and strong jaws. Through selective breeding, Herr Dobermann was able to produce a dog with these qualities in the 19th century. He named his new guard dog Schnupp, who became his foundation stock. His experimentations led to black puppies with rust markings and a naturally bobbed tail, as well as blue-coated ones. A breeder close to Herr Dobermann named Otto Goeller confirmed that the other breeds used to develop the Doberman breed were the German Pinscher, the German Shepherd, and the Great Dane. Herr Dobermann did not keep any records of his breeding activities. As such, there had been a lot of debate as to the real ancestry of the breed. There are so many dog breeds that were thought to have contributed to the creation of the Dobie. These dog breeds include the Manchester Terrier, Beauceron, and English Greyhound Shorthaired Shepherd. There is also the Weimaraner, Rottweiler, and the now-extinct Black and Tan Terrier. During World War II, the Doberman served in the military. Germans tasked him to guard concentration camps. He was also valuable for finding escapees and wounded soldiers. The Doberman was also used as a scout, messenger, and sentry by the US Marine Corps. Most of the Doberman Pinschers used in the war were supplied by the Doberman Pinscher Club of America. In 1890, the breed standard for the Doberman breed was established. Breed clubs like the National Doberman Pinscher Club in Germany were formed. In 1908, the breed was finally officially recognised by the American Kennel Club. Today, the Doberman breed continues to be one of the most recognised dogs in the world, not just as a protection dog and police dog/military K9, but as a family dog as well. He also works well as a therapy dog. He is registered with the Kennel Club under the Working Group.

HOW WE BECAME DOBERMAN BREEDERS

Thanks for visiting our website. I am called Tyler Simmons. The Simmons family are the owners of European Dobe Haven. We have been breeding this lovely breed dogs since 2016. My wife and I are pet lovers so we took up the initiative to breed these lovely dog breed to satisfy the needs of families who will want to own or add a new member to their family. My knowledge about the Doberman has grown as the years go by as they are a dog breed that are very smart and make us to learn new things everyday. My history with owning a puppy goes right back to my Christmas holidays when I was 10 years old. My parents bought me a lovely Doberman  puppy which I named Liam. Liam gave me a lot of childhood memories when I was growing as a teen. He was more than a best friend to me. He was so lovely and friendly. Each time I got angry back then about something, Liam was always there to console me and make me smile again. I always thought he could talk as he understood me so much. I always speak to him at times hoping he will respond. Everywhere I went to, Liam was with me. I met my wife in college. We were very good friends back then. She loved Liam until she insisted her parents should get her a Doberman . That was how our love for this lovely dog breed grew up. Our dogs use to play together . Unfortunately in our later years at college, I lost my lovely puppy Liam. We grew up loving each other so much and loving this dog breed. Later on, We got married and with our love for Dobermans, we decided to breed and raise this dog breed and why not educate puppy lovers about the importance of owning a Doberman puppy. Fast forward to today, my wife and I raise our 2 kids and breed the Puppies on our 3 acres of land where our puppies have enough space to play around. My family and I are dedicated to help everyone own the perfect, healthy puppy for their home. With our knowledge of this dog breed from childhood, we will say Dobermans are the best dogs to own.
